Visit Beatrix Potter’s summer home, explore the heavenly countryside and attend a gala dinner at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir

What we love:

The gala dinner at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons will be a night to remember. Dine on Provençal-inspired cuisine in the Belle Epoque dining room of an exquisite Oxfordshire country house.

Admire some of England's finest rural scenery with this ultra-luxurious journey on Britain's newest luxury sleeper train, the Britannic Explorer.

From England's highest peak to the country's deepest lake, the Lake District National Park is packed full of glorious landscapes.

Your adventure begins at London Victoria, where you'll board the train and take some time to settle into your private quarters before heading to the dining car for a Cumbrian Afternoon Tea.

Your route to the Lake District will take you through the heart of England, winding through the picturesque landscapes of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, and South Yorkshire.

As night descends, take your seat for a dinner, crafted by Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan before retreating to your tranquil suite for a restful night's sleep.

The following morning you'll be greeted by scenic views of the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales National Park and eventually arrive in Workington - the gateway to the Lake District. From here you'll visit the Lingholm Estate, where Beatrix Potter once spent her idyllic summers.

Spend the rest of the afternoon as you wish, perhaps on a guided open-water swim, meeting alpacas, or hiking before another delicious dinner with live entertainment.

Your third day begins with a sparkling Bellini as you wind your way through the Peak District down to Oxfordshire.

A real highlight of the trip will be a gala dinner in the Le Belle Époque dining room at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, Raymond Blanc's famous country estate - a fitting way to end your last full day on this luxurious escape.
