Explore verdant jungles with expert guides, learn to cook Costa Rican cuisines, and explore La Fortuna on this family-friendly adventure

Costa Rica is a nature-lover's dream, where every road seems to lead to a waterfall, volcano, lush rainforest or a tropical beach. It's the perfect destination for adventurous families who want to see incredible wildlife in one of the world's most diverse natural habitats.

This trip is designed for parents and children between the ages of six and 17 to enjoy together. You will be travelling as part of a group of families with other children on an itinerary that's been designed with the needs of the whole family in mind.

This week-long itinerary gives kids (and parents) an education in biology and ecology that will never be found in a textbook. You'll spend days studying the fascinating flora and fauna that inhabit the forest canopies and getting in touch with Costa Rica's beautiful landscapes with a range of adventure activities, like rappelling, rafting, swimming, horseback-riding, and even surfing.

A highlight will be a nighttime cloud forest tour with the guidance of a naturalist, who'll teach you all about the Monteverde's nocturnal wildlife. Keep your eyes and ears open on this slow-paced walk; you never know what you might see with mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, and amphibians calling the forest home.

There's plenty of time to relax on this tour too. The white sand beaches and warm turquoise waters of Manuel Antonio create the ideal atmosphere for kicking back and recovering after a few busy days - the perfect way to make the most of this tropical paradise before your Costa Rican adventure comes to an end.
