Hotel Review
Europe Villa Cortés, Costa Adeje, Tenerife
History isn't always written by the victors. As you can see on Tenerife which celebrates its pre-Spanish past with statues to the Berber-originating Guanches. Thankfully, the theme at Europe Villa Cortés is less about the conquistador it's named after and more a love letter to Mexico, from architecture to cuisine to overall vibe. This is Playa de las Américas after all, the original resort in the south of Tenerife. Much like on neighbouring Gran Canaria, island authorities switched the tourism focus from the north of Tenerife to the more reliably sunny south. The hotel has turned into somewhat of a celebrity hotspot too, with the likes of J.Lo staying here.
