Hotel Review
The Sail Loft, Southwold, Suffolk
Run by Suffolk chef Jonny Nicholson, The Sail Loft is a beachside restaurant with rooms that brings an almost Mediterranean air of relaxation to this corner of East Anglia. It serves food all day and has five simply furnished but contemporary rooms upstairs for those who can't bear the thought of going home. Just outside the centre of Southwold, it's an ideal base for visiting Suffolk's most genteel resort, as well as other parts of this enchanting stretch of coast. With country walks on your doorstep, it makes a versatile and very appealing weekend escape from London.
