Hotel Review
Rosewood Villa Magna, Madrid, Spain
The iconic 1970s luxury hotel has had a makeover to become Rosewood's first property in Spain. Interiors have a mid-century glamour with contemporary colours: dark teal on the walls of the lounge, chocolate in the bar. A restaurant serving northern Cantabrian cuisine is fronted by Jesús Sánchez, who has a three Michelin-starred restaurant outside Santander. There's also an in-house patisserie called Flor y Nata and a traditional Spanish menu in Las Brasas. The rooms have unusual black and white zig-zag carpets and large windows framing the trees of the Paseo de la Castellana. You can enjoy customised massages in the spa, as well as a Turkish hamam and a large hot tub alongside a sauna and experience shower.

Style & Character
Villa Magna suits well-heeled families and friends. We love the exquisite tapestry behind reception, by embroidery artist Jacky Puzey, which reference the dresses of the 19th-century ladies who would have first entertained here.
