WHAT WE LOVE...

This is a historic hotel in Barcelona, which first opened in 1918 and has all the elegance and luxury that you'd expect. The hotel is full of art and sculpture, the food is outstanding and the rooms are up-to-date with features like king size beds and rainfall showers. The setting is really convenient too, on the elegant avenue the Passeig de Gràcia, which is full of restaurants, cafes and designer stores. The city centre and attractions like the Gaudí houses are all within walking distance. This hotel suits people who like to be surrounded by style and elegance - and appreciate chic features like fine art, exquisite food and attention to detail.

Style & Character

The Majestic will suit people who love the elegance, character and charm of a historic hotel with luxury and five-star service. We love details like the fragrance in the corridors - they mist Atelier Cologne (also the brand of the toiletries) and guests get samples of it at turn-down.

Service & Facilities

The views from the La Dolce Vitae rooftop terrace and pool are amazing - Barcelona is low-rise so you can see the sea, mountains and the Sagrada Familia.

Rooms

We love the Junior Suite - a 40-square metre space with two rooms and a balcony overlooking the Passeig de Gràcia. The hotel's Majestic Royal Penthouse, the largest suite in the city with its own rooftop terrace and a Jacuzzi is something else! The luxurious marble bathroom and the Atelier Cologne toiletries are a lovely touch - they also leave samples of a different scent each night on your pillow at turn-down.

Food & Drink

The food is amazing, even the breakfasts - there is a small room nearly full of cakes and pastries. The Girona lamb with hummus of sweet peas from the hotel garden in el Maresme, and lima yoghurt, is beautiful, especially when paired with gorgeous Alta Alella wines from a nearby vineyard.

El Bar del Majestic: all-day dining and cocktails. Open daily 9am-midnight. Plates from €6.
