Hotel Review
Magma Resort Santorini, Greece
Magma Resort Santorini, which opened in August 2022 under the Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand, is a luxurious, chic retreat just minutes from the airport. It's so peaceful, it's surprising that it is just a couple of kilometres from cathedrals, museums and other sights. Although it's around a kilometre from the sea, it makes up for this with superlative facilities including a large central pool alongside a lovely restaurant with menus overseen by a two Michelin Star chef, no less. There are attractive seating areas with open fires in the evenings, one beside the bar area, and another on the roof of the restaurant, ideal for a late-night drink watching the stars. The hotel has a well-equipped fitness room and a smart subterranean spa - the largest on the island - offering the highest standard of treatments and massages. Guest rooms and suites are sleek and spacious and have verandas or terraces and views of the Aegean, and many have their own pool or hot tub.

Food & Drink
We loved sampling such wonderful food, accompanied by fine local wines, looking out to the sea. The sea bass, served with pak choi, was covered in a black olive cream, with a cream froth of the fish around it; it had amazingly delicate flavours.
Magma by Spondi: terrace restaurant, sea views. Fine dining, seasonal ingredients. Open daily for dinner, 7pm-12am.
