WHAT WE LOVE...

Though situated away from the centre in a very residential part of De Pijp neighbourhood by the Amstel canal, the Okura stands out for the celebrated restaurants it houses. Offering both international and Japanese cuisine, the hotel also has a bar on its 23rd floor that, with its impressive views of the city, is ideal for an evening cocktail. It has light, softly decorated spacious guest rooms with five-star attention to detail and one of the best spas in Amsterdam, with a large pool and fully-equipped gym. There's an understated minimalist Japanese theme running throughout and delightful tranquil garden and terrace areas.
