WHAT WE LOVE...

A landmark hotel, the H10 Rubicón Palace added an extra star to become a five-star hotel in 2018 after a refurb. This cemented its status as a Playa Blanca institution. Rocking up to it feels like an event and the old-school maps at reception turn checking in here into a real occasion. The island's third largest resort after Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise, south-westerly Playa Blanca is the newest and most upmarket tourist development. That makes it the perfect spot for H10's flagship Lanzarote property. There's fun for all the family too, with plenty to see and do in and around the complex. Surveying the scene from the lobby makes you feel like you're on the top level of a cruise ship.
