Hotel Review
The Lungarno Hotel, Florence, Italy
A stylish boutique hotel on the south bank of the River Arno with views of the Ponte Vecchio from its rooms and restaurants. The Michelin-starred Borgo San Jacopo is a destination in itself, with a reputation for excellent fine-dining Italian cuisine, and there's also a more informal bistro for cocktails and relaxed dining. The first property in the Ferragamo family's hotel group, the Lungarno Collection, it remains its flagship and has recently been elevated to five-star status. The art collection that adorns the walls of the public rooms and corridors includes sketches by Cocteau and Picasso and it's worth a meander through the different floors to see what you might spot.
