WHAT WE LOVE...

The younger, posher end of Grand Palladium's sprawling Ibizan resort, White Island is one half of the party Balearic's biggest hotel. But this all-inclusive holiday mega-hub is stylishly done, its chic white buildings arranged around a truly dazzling pool. Although good dining options sit alongside, guests can also make use of many more facilities at the sister property. Pick of the bunch are the charming, cactus-strewn Mexican restaurant and the lovely al-fresco spa. With so many activities on site it'd be easy never to leave the compound, but it's well worth venturing out - the resort backs on to a soft sandy beach and nature reserve, and is within easy reach of Ibiza's notoriously exciting nightlife as well as its historic capital.

Style & Character

The resort has broad appeal. Couples young and old, multi-gen families, groups of friends - all will feel right at home. The Sa Figuera terrace is a particularly inviting spot to linger; sit on a bright, basket weave chair and enjoy the sea breeze.

We loved the sheer sense of space - even though the hotel's capacity is huge, it rarely feels crowded as guests are scattered over a large area.

Food & Drink

The all-inclusive aspect even extends to expertly-made cocktails - we loved the salt-rimmed margaritas on offer in the lobby bar. The stir fry station at Sa Prunera is great - select your preferred protein and vegetables and watch the chef cook up a storm.
