WHAT WE LOVE...

Hotel Byblos, the brainchild of Jean-Prosper Gay-Para, was born out of his adoration for Brigitte Bardot and desire to impress her; it quickly became the beating heart of St Tropez, attracting people from far and wide. Although the rich and famous have stayed here, the hotel warmly welcomes all, as it effortlessly captures the essence of laid-back luxury, emitted by St Tropez. The enticing outdoor pool, exceptional food offerings (boasting produce from the garden prized by the chef), bespoke Byblos wine from nearby Domaines Vineyard, beautiful interiors adorned with antiques from around the world and friendly yet efficient staff - all a short stroll from the chic coastal town of Saint Tropez - make this a hotel you'll want to return to again and again.

Style & Character

Ideal for couples looking for a romantic retreat or friends wanting to be best placed for a touch of St Tropez luxury and the best club in town at their feet. Post-spa treatment you're taken to relax on a lounger upon a stunning design by Roger Capron; a turquoise hued geometric tiled floor, with face patterns peeking through, it's intriguing and iconic.

When we arrived at breakfast on the second day, the waiter remembered how we had our coffee the previous day; such a personalised, thoughtful touch.

Food & Drink

The perfectly boiled eggs and cute soldiers at breakfast were a nostalgic throwback and even better smothered with the sultry demi-sel butter. The clever dessert mirrored the savoury starter of stuffed tomato and courgette flower; instead of savoury, the flower was stuffed with rice pudding and tomato with sweet rosemary cream.

Arcadia: Mediterranean dining, dishes include rack of lamb with Nice ratatouille and octopus with grilled squid. Mains from €38. Open daily 12-6pm and 7-11pm.
Cucina Byblos: Italian, open daily for dinner.
Lounge Bar 'B': Pool bar, open daily 12pm-2am.
