Hotel Review
Mama Shelter Paris West, Paris, France
Opened in 2019, this property is part of a fast-growing French lifestyle brand that has close to 20 hotels around the world from Rio de Janeiro to Belgrade. While the location in the far southwest of Paris won't suit everyone, it is convenient for drivers and there is a nearby Metro station from where you can ride to the city centre in 30 minutes. With its young staff, two restaurants offering French or Italian dishes and a summer roof terrace, this is an easy place to hang out in. The eight-storey building has 207 shower-only guest rooms with a colourful and eclectic look enhanced by high quality beds, organic toiletries and a large TV with free films.

Style & Character
The hotel suits car-drivers, guests visiting Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and fans of the Mama Shelter brand. XXL rooms can accommodate families. We loved Mama Shelter's sense of humour - the guest room do-not-disturb sign offers a picture of handcuffs or washing-up gloves.
Service & Facilities
Most guests only stay a night or two so it's handy there's a choice of two restaurants, plus pizza and desserts are available on the roof in the afternoon.

The smallest M-size rooms are fine or for a treat, go for an upper-floor XL with a king-size bed and desk. The black and white carpet in the guest room corridors depicts a long row of high-kicking cancan dancers' legs.
