WHAT WE LOVE...

Hôtel du Petit Moulin is the smallest of four hotels in central Paris that are run with flair by the Chevalier family. Tucked away in a former bakery in the Marais, its 17 rooms were created in 2005 by fashion designer Christian Lacroix who let rip with his love of intense colours, plush fabrics, mixed-up patterns and theatrical flourishes. The result is a pioneering 'couture' hotel that is both a period piece and a fun place to stay. With its enthusiastic staff, bountiful breakfast and an attractive location this is a unique and characterful base in the heart of the French capital. Additional facilities, including a spa and parking, are available at the nearby sister property Pavillon de la Reine.
