Hotel Review
Villa Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark
Viewed from above, Villa Copenhagen is designed like a conjoined P and T - a clue to the fact that it was originally built, in 1912, to house Denmark's central Post & Telegraph office. Since spring 2020, though, it's been enjoying a new lease of life as a five-star hotel. Everything about the building has been renovated and restored, preserving original features but upgrading to 21st-century standards at the same time - so as well as high ceilings and grand proportions, you get slick technology and a commitment to operating as sustainably as possible. Its 390 bedrooms come in all shapes and sizes, but elegant good looks and high-spec finishes are a given throughout, and brand new facilities include a rooftop pool with a view towards Tivoli.
