Hotel Review
Casale Panayiotis, Kalopanayiotis, Cyprus
No expense has been spared in transforming the remote village of Kalopanayiotis in the Marathasa Valley into a luxury mountain spa retreat. A local businessman set about the renovation project after discovering that his childhood village was in decline as its youngsters moved away to the cities. Elegantly styled with top-notch furnishings and artworks, the seven houses, with 26 rooms, wouldn't look out of place in a design catalogue. Dining is serious business in each of the five excellent restaurants which serve up dishes using Cypriot and local mountain ingredients. Enjoy a treatment or session in the hot and cold thermae rooms at the spa after spending a day spent exploring the nature trails lined with fruit-ladened trees.
