WHAT WE LOVE...

A pink granite 17th-century country house surrounded by a maze of narrow "green lanes" in Jersey's rural interior. This is a good location for walkers and cyclists keen to explore the countryside. Warm up after a walk in front of a roaring fire in winter or sit on the floral terrace and enjoy an al fresco afternoon tea in summer. Food is of a high standard in the hotel's restaurant and includes a modern British menu with dishes such as venison Wellington and turbot fillet with lobster ravioli. A seasonally heated outdoor pool is a refreshing place to hang out in summer, while a small spa suite provides massages and facials. The hotel closes from the week before Christmas until the weekend before Valentine's day.
