Hotel Review
Varsity Hotel & Spa, Cambridge
In a fantastic spot overlooking the River Cam and Magdelene College and only a minute away from Jesus Green, the Varsity Hotel & Spa not only has one of the best locations but also the best rooftop bar in Cambridge. Set in a contemporary six-storey building attached to a 19th-century former brewery warehouse - where the spa, gym and one of two restaurants are housed - the hotel draws inspiration from its collegiate setting in some of its decor. It's sophisticated and smart, with a stylish mix of modern and mid-century - just what you want from an urban hotel. Some of the rooms have balconies looking over the river or Jesus Green, offering a soothing sense of serenity in the city centre.
