Right in the centre of Bath, this indulgent spa hotel is steeped in history from the hoard of Roman coins found under the foundations to the hot Hetling spring water feeding the hotel's spa and three pools. The hotel spa is one-of-a-kind in the UK with thermal mineral springs pumping directly into both the spa and specially designed spa rooms. Occupying five adjoining buildings, one which was the United Hospital dating from 1826, the hotel's design showcases the best of its story and adds contemporary elegance. This is reflected in the way the buildings wrap around the spa to the marble-clad lobby with five-storey staircase and the swish rooms and suites complete with underfloor heating.
